This week on IAW’s podcast Unlimited HERizons our host and president, Megan Bozzuto, chatted with a member, Kellie Sabas, about how to be happy by taking a deeper approach to total body wellness. Kellie combined her two decades of marketing experience, nine years as a meeting expert, and five years as an independent contractor to develop her business Chief Happines Officer of HappyME.yoga LLC.
Wellness is a process
Taking care of your mind, body, and spirit requires time and practice. No one finds wellness overnight, but with guidance and consitency it can happen. “When I started yoga and meditation, it helped me go inward and ask myself what I really want. Then, everything lit up and people show up. Like HappyME.yoga was a byproduct of that alignment and support I’ve been getting from the coomunity and higher being” said Kellie.
Meditation is training
While meditation may sound like a peacful moment of breathing, internally there are a million thoughts racing through your mind. “It sounds hard at first and feels hard. Even after two years the thoughts don’t stop. That’s a misconception that when you meditate you don’t think anything anymore. The benefits of meditation is that you can ingnore those thats and pass through you. Then, you don’t ruminate or go down the rabbit hole and blame yourself. It gives your brain training” explained Kellie.
