Marsha Pratt: Leading with Integrity, Resilience, and Resolve

For Marsha Pratt, success has never been about the title—it’s about the impact. As the President of Consulting, Mediation and Notarial Services and the founder of ResolveYourWay.com, Marsha has built a career on helping others find solutions, resolve conflict, and create trust in every interaction.

With a background that spans risk management, conflict resolution, and notarial services, Marsha brings a rare combination of technical expertise and human understanding. Her work centers on one goal: helping people and organizations navigate complexity with confidence, compassion, and clarity.

From Corporate Boardrooms to Conflict Resolution

Marsha’s professional journey began in two of the toughest industries to break into—oil and gas and automotive. Over the course of more than 15 years working with one of the nation’s largest automotive conglomerates, she developed deep expertise in identifying workplace challenges and partnering with leadership to resolve them.

But the path wasn’t easy. As an African American woman in a male-dominated industry, Marsha often had to work harder to earn her seat at the table. “I had to prove not just that I belonged—but that I could excel,” she recalls.

Through perseverance, sharp problem-solving, and unwavering professionalism, she did exactly that—saving her company more than half a million dollars each quarter through strategic risk management and dispute resolution. Those experiences became the foundation of her leadership philosophy: stay true to your purpose, trust your skills, and never underestimate your worth.

Building Resolve Your Way

After decades of corporate success, Marsha turned her focus toward entrepreneurship—founding Consulting, Mediation and Notarial Services, a firm that offers notarial, mediation, and apostille services with precision and care.

As a Notary Public since 1995 and a certified mediator, she combines professionalism with compassion, guiding clients through everything from document notarization to conflict resolution. Her services extend beyond borders—literally. Through apostille work, she helps individuals and businesses prepare U.S. documents for use abroad, coordinating with the State of Texas to ensure everything is done right the first time.

Marsha’s commitment to excellence and trust has made her business a go-to resource for individuals and companies alike—especially those seeking reliability and integrity in every interaction.

A Mentor Who Opened Doors

One of the pivotal moments in Marsha’s career came through a mentor and attorney, Shelly White, who recognized her potential and gave her a defining opportunity.

At the time, Marsha’s company was struggling to reach fair mediation settlements in St. Croix. Shelly realized that sending Marsha—someone who could connect culturally and communicate with empathy—could shift the dynamic. She was right.

Marsha successfully settled multiple cases for less than six figures, building trust with local representatives and saving her company significant costs. More importantly, she demonstrated the power of representation, empathy, and confidence in action.

“That experience changed everything,” Marsha shares. “Shelly saw something in me that others didn’t. She believed in me—and that belief helped me believe in myself on a deeper level.”

Words of Wisdom for Women

Marsha’s advice to other women is grounded in strength and self-worth:

“Always know your value. Stay prepared, stay focused, and never forget the power you bring to the table.”

She encourages women to keep showing up—even when it feels difficult—and to lean on communities like IAW that exist to support their growth.

Looking Ahead

Today, Marsha is focused on two things: her health and her mission. She’s dedicated to expanding her notary business and establishing it as a trusted, community-centered resource for professional notarization, loan signing, and apostille services.

Her vision is clear—to continue serving others with professionalism, empathy, and integrity, while creating opportunities for future generations of women to thrive.

Finding Strength in Community

For Marsha, the International Association of Women has been a vital source of encouragement and inspiration.

“IAW reminds me that I’m not alone,” she says. “There are women everywhere who have faced challenges like mine and still continue to rise. That’s what this community represents—resilience, support, and the belief that we rise higher together.”
