Mardi Winder knows that divorce is rarely just a legal process—it’s an emotional, financial, and deeply personal transition that can leave even the most accomplished women feeling overwhelmed and uncertain.
As a Strategic Divorce Consultant, High Conflict Divorce Coach, and founder of Positive Communication Systems, LLC, Mardi has dedicated her career to helping women navigate high-conflict and complex divorces with greater clarity, confidence, and control. Through her work, she empowers women to reduce the emotional and financial costs of divorce while creating a stronger foundation for the next chapter of their lives.
For Mardi, the mission is clear: no woman should feel alone while navigating one of life’s most difficult transitions.
Helping Women Navigate Divorce With Confidence
Mardi’s work was born from a realization she couldn’t ignore.
As a mediator, she repeatedly watched highly successful women walk away from divorce settlements feeling unsupported, underprepared, and disconnected from the process. It wasn’t because they lacked intelligence or capability. More often, they lacked the guidance, preparation, and emotional support needed to confidently navigate the many decisions divorce requires.
One pivotal moment changed everything.
After mediating a case, a woman approached Mardi and told her she wished she had been able to help her prepare beforehand. That conversation stayed with her. Soon after, the woman—who owned a large business—hired Mardi to support C-suite employees going through divorce.
At the time, “divorce coaching” was barely recognized as a profession.
But Mardi understood immediately that women needed more than legal representation. They needed strategy, emotional support, communication guidance, and someone who could help them move through the process feeling empowered instead of defeated.
That realization became the foundation for the work she does today.
Moving From Chaos to Control
One of the most rewarding parts of Mardi’s work is witnessing the transformation that happens when women regain a sense of control during an incredibly difficult life event.
She helps clients move from feeling overwhelmed, isolated, and emotionally exhausted to feeling prepared, grounded, and capable of making decisions that support their future.
“Divorce can be very isolating,” Mardi shares. “Surrounding yourself with the right professionals and support makes all the difference.”
Her approach combines strategic preparation with compassionate support, helping women navigate difficult conversations, high-conflict situations, and emotionally charged decisions with greater clarity and confidence.
Advice for Women Navigating Change
Mardi believes women should never stop investing in their own growth—both personally and professionally.
“Work toward your goals on a personal and professional level,” she says. “We need to model what we are asking our clients to do.”
That philosophy shapes how she leads her business and supports her clients. She understands that healing, growth, and rebuilding happen one step at a time—and that women deserve support systems that help them move forward with strength instead of fear.
Creating Greater Access to Support
Looking ahead, Mardi’s vision extends far beyond her current practice.
One of her biggest goals is to establish a nonprofit organization that provides divorce coaching services to underserved women—particularly those leaving abusive or toxic relationships who may not have the financial resources to access professional support.
Her mission is rooted in ensuring women have access to the guidance, tools, and encouragement they need during life-changing transitions, regardless of circumstance.
The Power of Community and Connection
For Mardi, the International Association of Women has been a valuable space for both growth and visibility.
“IAW provides a range of opportunities to help both share your message and learn from other women in the organization,” she shares.
She encourages new members to take advantage of everything the community offers—even if they can only participate occasionally.
“Make room in your calendar when you can,” she says. “There’s so much value in learning from and connecting with other women.”
Leading Women Toward Their Next Chapter
At the heart of Mardi’s work is a belief that women are stronger than the circumstances they face.
Divorce may mark the end of one chapter—but with the right support, preparation, and guidance, it can also become the beginning of a more empowered future.
Through her coaching, consulting, and advocacy, Mardi Winder continues helping women navigate difficult transitions with courage, clarity, and confidence—proving that even in life’s hardest moments, growth and healing are still possible.
