“Heal the world.”
That’s the phrase Dr. Esther Akindayomi Jackson received in prayer, the moment that turned a bedside calling into a movement. She understood immediately that her assignment was bigger than one patient, one hospital, or even one country.

THE STORY
Esther spent years at the bedside as a CRNA, and what she watched there shaped everything that came after. “I watched brilliant, compassionate nurses quietly burn out, giving everything to their patients while running on empty themselves,” she said. “I lived it too. I realized the healthcare system is very good at caring for patients and far less intentional about caring for the caregiver.”
That gap became Soul Touch Wellness. “I wanted to build a space where nurses and women could be restored, spirit, mind, and body, and rediscover who they are beyond their title,” she said. “What started as a calling to heal the healer has grown into a platform spanning clinical services, coaching, publishing, and speaking.”
The spark, she says, came from her own unraveling. “I was accomplished, respected, and checking every box, yet internally, I was disconnected from my soul,” Esther said. “After years in high-stress healthcare environments and a season of personal unraveling, I realized that so many nurses, caregivers, and women were silently carrying the same emotional and spiritual weight I had once carried.” That recognition became the foundation of her 5D to REBIRTH Method and the belief she now teaches everywhere she goes: true leadership begins with inner alignment.
Then came the moment that turned it into a mission. “The pivotal moment came through prayer,” she said. “I received a clear word, heal the world, and understood that my assignment was bigger than one bedside, one hospital, or even one country. That download reframed everything: nurses are standing on holy ground, positioned and empowered to heal, so that God can heal through them.” That revelation is the heartbeat of what she now calls HEAL Her, the rebirth of nurses into healers, and it moved her from serving quietly within the system to building a movement beyond it.
She traces the timing of it all back even further, to a name she was given decades before she understood what to do with it. “God had given me the name Soul Touch at 22, but it didn’t manifest until two decades later,” Esther said. “That revelation showed me that timing is divine, preparation is sacred, and purpose unfolds when we are ready to carry it. Nothing in my journey was wasted, not the burnout, not the misalignment, not the detours. Everything was shaping me to become the woman who could now guide others into their own rebirth.”
HER PERSPECTIVE
Esther is direct about the misconception she spends most of her career pushing back on. “Burnout is treated like a personal failure or a lack of resilience,” she said. “In reality, burnout is a systemic issue that requires emotional intelligence, aligned leadership, and holistic wellness, not more pushing, striving, or over-functioning.”
She learned that lesson the hard way herself. “Over-functioning is not leadership, it’s survival,” she said. “Sustainable leadership requires boundaries, alignment, and the courage to release roles, expectations, and identities that no longer serve your calling.”
Her daily anchor is what keeps that alignment intact. “It’s intentional stillness, a moment each morning where I sit with God, listen, and align my spirit before I lead anyone else,” she said. “Whether through prayer, journaling, or quiet reflection, this practice keeps me grounded, centered, and connected to my soul’s guidance. It is where I receive the clarity, direction, and emotional grounding I need to serve from overflow.”
THE WORK NOW
The people Esther most wants to reach are also, by nature of their training, the hardest to reach. “Nurses are trained to keep giving, so inviting them to receive takes patience and trust,” she said. That’s the challenge. The reward is what happens when it works. “Watching a nurse who felt invisible and depleted come back to life, reconnecting with her purpose, her worth, and her joy. When a woman tells me she remembers why she answered this calling, and that she now leads and lives from overflow instead of burnout, that is everything. That transformation is why I do this.”
On the business side, she’s candid about where she’s stretching right now. “My biggest obstacle is transitioning from doing everything myself to building a fully supported, scalable infrastructure,” she said. “I’m navigating the shift from solo leadership to a team-supported model, while also increasing visibility in new industries, and refining my systems so my speaking, coaching, and wellness work flow together seamlessly.”
WHAT’S NEXT
Esther’s goals for the year ahead center on scale without losing what makes the work work: expanding her speaking business and securing paid engagements across healthcare, women’s leadership, and corporate wellness; growing Soul Touch Wellness into a multi-vertical brand spanning coaching, speaking, and wellness offerings; and increasing her visibility through IAW, podcasts, conferences, and thought leadership platforms built for reach without depletion.
MEET ESTHER
Esther is looking to connect with healthcare executives, including CNOs, nursing directors, and wellness leaders, along with women’s leadership organizations, corporate wellness and HR directors, conference organizers in healthcare, leadership, and faith-based spaces, and podcast hosts aligned with emotional wellness and purpose-driven leadership.
Her advice to other women, thought leader to thought leader, doubles as the thesis of her entire practice: “You cannot pour from an empty vessel, and your worth was never meant to be measured by your output. Protect your peace, tend to your own healing, and lead from overflow. Build your life on a foundation that cannot be shaken. Surround yourself with the right relationships: a mentor, a cheerleader, someone who pushes you, a connector, and a financial partner. And do not shrink to make others comfortable. You were created on purpose, for a purpose.”
And for IAW’s newer members, her advice is characteristically direct: “Don’t stay on the sidelines. Introduce yourself, show up, and let people know what you do and who you serve. The value of this community multiplies the moment you engage with it. Be generous in supporting other women too. What you give to this community comes back to you.”
On what IAW means to her: “IAW has given me a community of ambitious, supportive women who understand the journey of building something meaningful. Being surrounded by other women who lead with excellence and lift as they climb has affirmed my vision and expanded my network and confidence. To me, IAW means sisterhood, visibility, and the reminder that I don’t have to build alone, that my voice and my work belong at the table.”

“If my story reaches even one nurse or woman who feels depleted and reminds her of her worth and her calling,” Esther said, “then it has done its work.”
