My passion is helping women create amazing businesses that fit them perfectly – their unique skills, talents, interests and dreams. I’m a big believer that all of us have unique gifts to share with the world and we’re doing a disservice to the planet if we’re not sharing those gifts.

With a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and many years of both corporate and small business experience, I have helped clients increase their confidence, develop a success mindset, and create and build successful businesses.

I have combined my experience and love for psychology, business, technology, organization and design to create a business that uniquely fits my passions and skills, while helping others do the same.

I could not have done all of this without the support, knowledge and expertise of supervisors, mentors and peers. I’ve learned the value of community and having an amazing support system.

In fact, one of the first things I did when I became President of the Seattle Chapter was to look for intelligent and talented women for my board. I knew that if I were to build the community of members I envisioned, I would not be able to do it alone.

I feel so fortunate to have a board of amazing women with years of experience in both business and the corporate world. Anne Tipper, our Vice President, is the founder of AT Development Solutions, a business focused on helping people develop tangible tools for personal and business success. Lynette Hoy, our Communications Director, owns Firetalker PR, where she helps local businesses use publicity and promotion to reach their business goals. Dianne Juhl, our Finance Director, is the Founder of The Feminine Face of Money, which teaches women a step-by-step strategic and holistic approach to the fundamentals of money. Finally, Teena Cox, our Event Planning Committee Chair, is an executive at Microsoft, as well as co-owner of Kringles Bakery with her daughter, Mandy.

The board and I have a mission to make events feel like a family reunion for the women who attend regular meetings, while also welcoming new members into the fold so that they feel comfortable immediately.

We understand that true networking is more than just throwing a business card at someone. It’s about establishing relationships built on trust and respect. IAW has given us the foundation to provide this for our members and we see this happening more and more at every event.
