Meet Lisa Anderson: Empowering Women to Lead with Confidence and Influence

President of Positively in Pursuit, LLC
HR Executive | Leadership Coach | Speaker | Author

Lisa Anderson is on a mission to help women leaders shift from invisible to influential. As an HR executive, executive coach, and speaker, she has built a career dedicated to empowering women—especially those navigating male-dominated industries—to step into their confidence, elevate their executive presence, and claim their rightful place at the table.

Through her signature program, Invisible Professional to Influential Leader, Lisa provides the strategies and mindset shifts women need to be seen, heard, and valued as leaders.

From Feeling Invisible to Owning Her Power

Lisa’s journey to leadership and influence wasn’t without challenges.

“There was a time when I sat in meetings, silent, even though I had valuable insights to share,” she recalls. “That moment was a wake-up call—I realized that if I wanted to be seen and heard, I had to own my value and show up with confidence.”

Once she made that shift, everything changed.

Her experience led her to found Positively in Pursuit, LLC, where she helps other women break through self-doubt, advocate for themselves, and lead authentically with confidence.

Breaking Barriers: The Challenges and Rewards of Leadership Coaching

Lisa knows that one of the biggest challenges women face in leadership is unlearning deeply ingrained limiting beliefs.

“Many women have spent years in environments where their voices weren’t valued or where speaking up felt risky,” she says. “Helping them rewrite that narrative takes time, but when the shift happens, it’s incredibly powerful.”

The most rewarding part of her work? Seeing that transformation unfold.

“When a client tells me she spoke up in a high-stakes meeting, negotiated a promotion, or finally led with authority without second-guessing herself—that’s what keeps me going,” Lisa says.

Lisa’s Advice for Women: Your Voice Deserves to Be Heard

Lisa encourages women to stop waiting for permission to step into leadership and shares these five powerful statements to support your journey:

  • You have a voice, and it deserves to be heard.
  • Your insights, experiences, and leadership bring real value—don’t downplay them.
  • Visibility isn’t about self-promotion—it’s about making an impact.
  • Build relationships that support your growth, speak with confidence about your contributions, and embrace the leader within you.
  • Believe in yourself, take up space, and keep going. You belong in the rooms where decisions are made.
