Everyone loves to travel, but planning it is a whole other story. Stacy Wren uses her 20-plus years of experience in hospitality and travel to help individuals, corporate retreats, families, and people with special needs or disabilities explore the world. Her family-run travel agency, Global Vacation Pro, handles every aspect of traveling to make vacations an inclusive experience. “Assisting clients with special needs and disabilities has a big place in my heart. Everyone deserves to feel the freedom of exploration regardless of their disabilities,” she said.
Their services include but are not limited to researching disability and special needs accommodations, chartering private helicopters and airlines, reserving all-inclusive or adult-only hotels and resorts, planning activities, finding dining recommendations, and more. “I love hearing about my clients’ travel experiences, what brings passion to their story, and their “why” for wanting to travel,” said Stacy. “Assisting clients with special needs and disabilities has a big place in my heart. Everyone deserves to feel the freedom of exploration regardless of their disabilities.
What helps Stacy grow her business every day is approaching her tasks with a mindset of gratitude. “Instead of waking up focused on a massive to-do list and the stress of growing a business. I focus on everything I’m thankful for, like my home, family, and ability to reason and empathize. I can craft my future,” she explained.
Stacy hopes in the future to fill an entire National Geographic Expedition Ship with special disabilities children on a trip to Alaska to explore nature. “Last year, I was sailing the Alaskan peninsula and learned about how cruising can help nonprofits raise money and awareness,” she said. “My special needs son was with me on this trip and I was inspired to start driving my business to be one that serviced both the community and individuals with special disabilities.”
As she supports others, the International Association of Women (IAW) supports her and her business. Stacy joined the Las Vegas Local Chapter as the Chapter Membership Ambassador to meet other women entrepreneurs like her. “I’m inspired by being surrounded by women that dream big, think big, and have big experiences. IAW is a resource for growth, encouragement, and education,” she said. Her advice to new IAW members is to actively connect with other members and be open about your successes.
