For more than 25 years, Jessica Hartung has been on a mission to transform the way leaders work. As an Executive Mentor, Author, and Founder, she’s helped thousands of professionals move beyond old models of leadership to embrace a more conscious, values-driven approach—one that fosters connection, purpose, and real impact.
“I help leaders get clear on what matters most,” Jessica explains. “When your vision, decisions, and daily interactions are aligned, everything changes—your results, your relationships, and your sense of fulfillment.”
From a Vision to a Movement
Jessica’s leadership journey began in 1998 when she founded Integrated Work, a leadership development firm built on the principles of conscious business. Over the years, she’s designed retreats, facilitated executive forums, and led programs that help leaders and teams thrive—not just in their performance, but in how they show up for each other.
Her work led her to write The Conscious Professional: Transform Your Life at Work, a practical guide to self-directed growth that’s been embraced by professionals at every stage of their careers. “It’s incredibly rewarding to hear from readers who’ve been able to lead differently—more ethically, more intentionally—because of what they learned,” she says.
For Jessica, the most rewarding part of her work is witnessing the moment when someone fully steps into their leadership. “There’s a light that comes on when a person realizes they can lead in a way that’s both effective and authentic,” she shares.
Of course, the journey isn’t without challenges. “Helping leaders unlearn habits that no longer serve them takes patience,” Jessica admits. “But the transformation that follows is always worth it.”
Her Advice for Women Leaders
Jessica’s message to women is both empowering and grounding:
“Trust your clarity more than you trust external approval. Build your career around your values, not just your skills. And don’t wait to feel ready—presence matters more than perfection.”
She also stresses the importance of community. “Leadership can be lonely, especially for women forging their own paths. Surround yourself with people who challenge and champion you. You don’t have to do this alone—and you shouldn’t.”
Looking Ahead
Jessica is focused on expanding the reach of The Conscious Professional and bringing its principles into more organizations and leadership circles. She’s particularly excited about growing group mentoring and team learning programs that support leaders in real time. “The goal is to make conscious leadership a lived practice—not just a theory,” she says.
Finding Support in IAW
When Jessica needed help building her new website, she turned to IAW’s member community—and found exactly the right fit. “I had struggled with finding the right partner before, but through IAW, I connected with Chelsey Marie, who truly understood my vision,” Jessica recalls. “It was such a relief to work with someone vetted, experienced, and aligned with what I wanted to create.”
Her advice to new IAW members is simple but powerful: “Lean in. This community is full of extraordinary women who will share their wisdom and support—but it starts with showing up.”
