Living on Assignment and Releasing the Greatness Within

Some women build businesses.
Sundra Johnson builds lives rooted in purpose.

As the Founder of Release the Greatness, LLC, ordained minister, life coach, author, and real estate broker, Sundra’s work sits at the intersection of faith, resilience, leadership, and service. Whether she’s guiding a woman through transition, counseling someone during a season of grief, or walking a client through a home purchase, her mission remains the same:

Help people step boldly into their next chapter with clarity, confidence, and courage.

Where Real Estate Became Ministry

Sundra didn’t set out to create a coaching ministry.

She set out to serve.

With more than 20 years as an ordained minister and a successful real estate broker, she began to notice something powerful: every transaction carried a story. Every closing table held emotion. Every move represented a beginning or an ending.

“What began as real estate quickly became ministry,” she shares. “Because every transaction came with real people, real stories, and real life transitions.”

She has celebrated first-time homebuyers and 80-year-olds purchasing their first home. She has supported couples preparing for marriage and sat at kitchen tables with those navigating divorce. She has witnessed grief, joy, reinvention, and redemption (sometimes all within the same week).

From these moments, her second book was born: God Did It, a collection of testimonies reflecting the unseen hand guiding each season.

Because for Sundra, homes are never just houses.
They are chapters in someone’s calling.

A Life on Assignment

In 2001, Sundra relocated her family across state lines with no safety net — just faith.

That decision marked what she calls the beginning of living “on assignment.”

Ministry wasn’t her original plan. In fact, she resisted it at first. But mentors, church leaders, and community members consistently saw something in her: leadership, compassion, discernment.

Today, she serves as both bishop and elder in her church, with a ministry that reaches thousands globally. Her mission work has taken her across the U.S. and internationally, including Ghana, Kenya, Austria, and Dubai.

“I move from assignment to assignment,” she says. “A call comes in, a person shows up, a door opens — and I recognize, this is why God has me here.”

Her real estate business reflects the same integrity. Over 90% of her work comes from referrals — built on trust, discretion, and the reputation that “You can trust her.”

That foundation is everything.

Coaching Women to Release Their Greatness

Through Release the Greatness Coaching and Sundra Johnson Ministries, she specializes in guiding women of faith through seasons of transition and transformation.

Her coaching focuses on:

  • Identity and authenticity
  • Accountability and clarity
  • Courage in decision-making
  • Walking boldly in purpose

“Releasing your greatness starts with understanding who you truly are,” she shares. “When you live in alignment with yourself, you’re better able to serve others from a place of truth.”

The most challenging part of her work? Time.
There is always more to give.

The most rewarding?
Hearing someone say their life shifted because of a conversation, a prayer, or a season of guidance.

Knowing her purpose helps guide others into theirs — that’s the calling.

The Power of Visibility and Community

Through the International Association of Women, Sundra found something powerful: visibility.

“IAW helped me prioritize my voice and message rather than staying behind the scenes,” she shares. “It encouraged me to step forward and own the impact I’m meant to have.”

Her advice to new members is simple and profound:

Use this space to truly understand who you are — and how you’re meant to show up.

Looking Ahead

Sundra’s next chapter includes expanding her coaching impact, publishing God Did It, and continuing to serve women through faith-centered leadership and accountability.

But if you ask her what truly defines her work, she’ll tell you this:

She is not just a real estate broker.
Not just a coach.
Not just a minister.

She is a woman walking in purpose — serving wherever she is assigned next.

And through it all, she continues to help others release the greatness already inside them.
